Yoga Groove 2

Yoga Groove 2, with DJ Free and master percussionist Brent Lewis, is the latest release in SOULFOOD's best-selling yoga series. Tribal percussion and global grooves unite with bamboo flutes, sitar, chants and electronica to create a sublime chill vibe that energizes your yoga routine both on and off the mat. DJ Free built the foundation for this release by recording Brent at his Joshua Tree studio. He then traveled to Minneapolis and back to Santa Fe where he added an array of indigenous instrumentation and chants

SOULFOOD's Yoga series started when DJ Free was a guest teacher at Esalen Institute. While there, he met with Yoga instructors and discovered a need for music with a new feel - music that had a rhythm, beats and a groove that would be perfect for more active yoga styles. Yoga Rhym and its gentle companion, Yoga Dream featured master percussionist Brent Lewis. Building on their success, SOULFOOD released, Yoga Groove which brought the two artists together again. It was only a natural evolution to create Yoga Groove 2 and continue the story of Yoga meets chill.
